On This Oil painting Spartacus has a strength of gladiator. The helmet provides greater protection for the soldiers, Roman helmets became beaten out of a single sheet of iron or brass. You can see how the light descend on the face and how the shadow hide on magnificent scenery .The way the Spartacus look under the shadow like a fox waiting for the suitable time to attack his victim .The light reflection on the hair with the shadow is playing an amazing art. I used oil colors and linseed oil. The process to complete this painting is very complicated due to the multiple layers of colors . Each layer took a long time to dry .
